For the Last Time, There’s No Joker in The Dark Knight Rises

We all yearn for a Heath Ledger cameo as the Joker in “The Dark Knight Rises,” but director Christopher Nolan and his wife/producer Emma Thomas want you to get over that wet dream. It’s not gonna happen. Thomas told The Hollywood Reporter that the recent rumors of unused footage from “The Dark Knight,” along with the use of CGI to bring back the Joker is false: “I heard the rumor…We’re not doing that.” The script is still being written and production is scheduled to start in mid 2011.
